  1. What kind of Locations are there?
The MTA’s accredited Locations are related to Kerala Tourism. Some are local, some are national. All are rewarding and interesting.
  2. Who determines which locations to visit?
The Rally Masters select the Locations. Everyone is welcome to make suggestions.
  3. What happens if I don’t visit all the sites?
Nothing other than hopefully having the experience of visiting at least one.
  4. What are some basic requirements to qualify for the challenge?
Challengers must hold a valid driver’s license, with valid motorcycle endorsement.

You will be respectful at all times with the volunteers no matter what!
  5. What make of motorcycles can register for the challenge?
Anyone over the age of 18 with a valid motorcycle license and proof of insurance.
We welcome every make & model of motorcycles. In fact, we encourage the “friendly” competition between Royal Enfield, Bajaj, KTM, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, TVS, Hero etc.
  6. How many Riders are you expecting to participate?
Our mission is to recognition long distance riders, promotion of Kerala’s Travel & Tourism, to contribute and support its members and fellow riders. We are looking for great riders; not great numbers.
  7. What’s the entry fee?
The entry fee is ₹1750, must be paid in full in one payment at time of registration. Please understand that if you cannot make the start line, your ₹1750 will go to the Old Monk’s Fund with no refunds.
  8. Why should we pay for a registration when the destinations are on the website?
For one thing, there are the Rally Flag, Finisher’s Certificate, lapel pin, patches, mementos, decals and mailing costs. And hopefully you’ll take advantage of the sense of community here.
  9. If I change my mind, can I get a refund?
Yes, you can get a refund up until the time the Rally flags are mailed. Refunds won’t be given after the Rally Flag, Decals and Log sheets are mailed.
  10. Will there be prize money awarded?
No….this is a fun ride for those who gave all for your freedom so what’s a ₹1750? The Challenge is an awesome amateur competitive motorcycling event. Winners receive a handsome looking trophy and the admiration of their fellow riders and we bring you on stage with the band and Honor your great achievement. Prizes be awarded immediately after the Ride concludes and all scores are calculated. This Challenge is for those that love to ride!
  11. What are the Rules to qualify for Finisher’s certificate?
Rules will be mailed with Rally Flag, but the most complete set of Rules are ON THIS PAGE.
Basically, photos must be submitted that include three things: The Location from an angle, your Rally Flag, and your motorcycle. It won’t always be possible to ride your motorcycle up to the Locations, and in that instance, two photos must be submitted: one with the Location and your Rally Flag, and one near with your motorcycle and your Rally Flag. It should be obvious that your motorcycle was at least near the Location. Your Rally Flag should be in all photos submitted.
Decisions about evidence of visiting Location will be at the Rally Masters and if it’s not clear from the photographs, you may be asked to return to take new photos. This will be critical when competing for awards.
  12. What if we can’t access a Location?
There might be restricted access to some locations, mostly because of hours of operation, and it is up to riders to determine that ahead of time.
If a location is closed due to maintenance, road closure, security precautions or other circumstances beyond your control, take a photo of your Rally Flag and motorcycle at the nearest access point, preferably with a sign mentioning the Location.
  13. Will any of the organizers be participating?
Certainly! After all that is why we’ve organized the Challenge in the first place. We love to ride and look forward to an opportunity to test our own abilities! The catch to this is that the organizers cannot win any award associated with the Event. We may come in first, or do something great. but someone else will ride away with the award!
  14. Can participants break the speed limit in the challenge?
It is not a race so the answer is NO. This challenge is a test of planning, preparation, strategy and tactics, riding skill, and endurance. All participants are required to obey State and local traffic laws. Please remember this is a fun ride and NOT a competition to taint the event or yourself. The participants make decisions as to the selected POIs and them on the road time management to obtain points. Only adults (18-yr+) are allowed to register so you’re a big boy now……speed kills and this Challenge does not condone speeding since it is not required to win complete the challenge.
  15. How do we submit the Documents?
Digital submissions can be on CD, DVD, SD Cards or Thump drives. Digital photos in JPEG or TIFF formats or prints are accepted. Mail photos to the address given in Rules. Emailed photos or Camera photos can be sent to [email protected]. For those who want to share their photos, you can always post them on the Riders Forum /or the MTA’s Facebook page.
  16. What happens if I lose my Rally Flag?
You will be allowed credit for Locations with a facsimile of your Rally Flag (your Rider Number on a piece of paper will do) for up to one week after we hear of the loss. Additional Locations will require a replacement Rally Flag. Inform us for a replacement and one will be mailed to you at a cost of ₹500.
  17. What Happens if I come across someone else’s Rally Flag left behind?
If this happens, leave it there because someone may be returning fir it shortly. If you can, email us the location and the rider number and we’ll put the word out.
  18. Love the Challenge. How can I help you?
If you are interested, there are a number of ways you can help. Suggest an advertiser, or be an advertiser, on the website. Suggest Locations. Invite your friends.
